Agriculture Minister Japhet Hasunga (Mb) has urged traders to supply fertilizers as soon as possible to reach farmers' time as the agricultural season has begun.
Mr Hasunga said on November 27, 2018 when he visited the Yara Tanzania Ltd's Manufacturing Plant and Distributing Company, which in Tanzania is Headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
Minister Hasunga has urged the Institutes involved and freightloading on the ports to speed up the load for fertilizers to reach the farmers since the agricultural season has already begun.
He said that it was not good fertilizer that farmers should farm in this agricultural season to stay on the beach for more than one week.
"When fertilizers are delayed to reach farmers, it will lead to an increase in non-productive costs because the injured farmer should not be viewed as an ordinary thing, but all the actors should carry out their duties accordingly".
"Many rural farmers do not know what to do with long-term marine fertilizers who know that the government should provide fertilizer during the seasonal season, and fertilizers are needed as soon as Tumbol agriculture continues and the complaint has already begun"
In addition, Mr Hasunga congratulated the Yara Tanzania Ltd fertilizer company, which has invested in a laboratory to diagnose existing nutrients and minerals.
The company's manager in Tanzania and Rwanda, Mr William Ngeno, said that "the main goal of the Yara Tanzania company to set up a laboratory is to provide their clients with good care and proper nutritional planning and vegetation"
He said immediately after the soil's impact on the company, its experts advise farmers what to do according to their farming or expected crop.
In addition, he commended the Agriculture Minister for visiting the company to evaluate the situation.
YARA Fertilizers are divided into five main categories: Yara Mila: This group consists of three nutrients, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Yara Liva: This group contains calcium nitrogen fertilizers, such as Nitrabor, Tropical and Calicinite, Yara Bela: This group is a rich Organic Ammonium Sulphate Nitrate, containing Nitrogen and Sulfur, which is Sulfan, Yara War: This group is a micro-nutrient but essential nutrient in plant growth parallel with Yara Vera: The fifth group is UREA fertilizers.
